Original White Sox Line-up - Question for Rick

Post  djknorr on Fri Aug 15, 2008 10:00 am

Rick,

Early on you mentioned the White Sox All-Star band was going to consist of members of Yes, Journey, GnR and Toto. We learned Alan White and Jeff Scott Soto where involved and then JSS had to drop out because of his TSO commitments. Can you reveal who else was going to be in the rendition of the White Sox?

Yes, we announced this formally a few days ago but it hasn't been posted to the site yet. It's Eric Bazilian of The Hooters, Alan White of Yes, Geoffrey Castle, an extraordinary electric violinist who has played with a number of major bands, Bernt Bodal, a former European pop star in the last 70s, and other special guests. When we use the term 'other special guests' it's either because the artist doesn't want to be announced in advance of the show or for contractual reasons we can't divulge the name just yet. At various times the White Sox have also included Jeff Scott Soto, several of the guys from Queen -- who can't be here due to a tour date in Germany but had planned on it before that date was officially set -- Rob Hyman (also of The Hooters), and a couple members of GNR. Different guys have played different gigs so the line-up is always moving. But it will be a great show and typically they perform a lot of Queen, Yes and The Hooters songs. Hope this helps.

Yes, I saw that announcement, but somewhere in the middle of July, this was posted based on what was said on the radio during the Dennis DeYoung announcement.

Friday, all star band with members of journey, yes, guns and roses, and toto performing before the visitraleigh band winner, then a huge headliner to be announced

I was just curious if the White Sox line-up changed after the Jeff Scott Soto back-out and who from GnR and Toto may have planned to play the show

It seems like Rick's saying that these potential other artists may still be part of the lineup but, it can't be divulged right now. I think a few weeks ago, Master of Pain was asking about the GnR guy and Rick's response was just that. He was moved to Saturday and he couldn't be discussed due to "contractual stipulations".

Dave's interpretation is correct. I can't say. If I could, I would.

I noticed this afternoon that the Friday Only tickets have gone on sale at $35. Also noticed that a couple more of those coveted VIP tix have popped up on craigs list Raleigh, in case that previous poster lusting after them hasn't found them yet. Is the Saturday show about sold out yet Rick? I can't figure out why people haven't been coming out of the woodwork for those two-day tickets. They are a steal at $50!

Saturday is getting close to a sell-out, which means Friday will be as well since Saturday's ticket gets everyone into Friday's show. Those new VIP tickets being released are 'house seats' we held back based on artist requirements. Since those have been met we can release some VIP and reserved hold-backs.

There are other ways besides surgery that you can use in order to shrink your fibroids down and these are all natural ways. Systemic enzyme therapy is one way that you can work with the fibroids and shrink them down so you are not undergoing an unnecessary surgery. The great thing about this approach is that it is all natural and you can actually do it on large and small fibroids.
